Bob and Cathy Kenworthy

Getting to know Bob and Cathy

Marital Status: Married to my wife Cathy for 24 years.

How did you meet each other: I met my wife Cathy at Panamas Red bar here in Colorado back in 1991 after I got stationed at Lowery AFB from Japan.

Where are you from originally/where have you lived other than Colorado: I am from Waterbury Conn. and Cathy is from South Lyon Mich.

Employment: I retired from the USAF after 22 years and currently work for the USAF as a civilian at Buckley AFB. My wife Cathy works for the Colorado University Hospital.

Kids: We have one daughter, Kristen who is attending UNC in Greeley Colorado for a Chemistry Degree.

Pets: We have one dog that is a 65 lbs lap dog and one parrot.

What Corvette(s) do you currently own: I own a 1993 Corvette Callaway Supernatural 400, Polo Green with tan interior. (My vette is number 13 of 20 Callaway's built in 1993) (it is not turbo or supercharged) Yes, Les it is an Automatic which is more fun at places like the Golden Cruise!

How did you get inspired by the Corvette……what first peaked your interest: My dad had a 57 fuely and a 65 Coupe and my uncle owned a 63 roadster. So when I could afford one for myself in between owning over 160 cars I pick up the vette bug again.

What notable Corvette(s) have you owned in the past: I have owned 3 vettes, 1979 L82 4spd white on white, 1992 LT1 6spd coupe and now my Callaway.

Favorite “Corvette activity” are interested in: All and will be attending a lot of them in the future! Racing, car show, autocross, Mystery Meal, Cruise night gatherings, road trips, etc.

Hobbies (outside the Corvette hobby): I like to auto-cross, hunt, spend time at my cabin in the mountains, fish, and of course building / showing cars. I am in the process of building a 1953 Nash Rambler street rod. (It will have a 1992 GMC Typhoon complete drive train)

What is the best vacation you ever took (with or without your Corvette): Spent 30 days in eastern Australia back in 1995 and of course I can not forget 2014 SEMA show.Anything else you would like to add: We are looking forward into meeting all the members and having some fun with our Callaway.
